i'm back from Rays Training Camp. =) it was a lot of fun and pain. u think it's contradicting? haha.. deeben was our camp commandant. jj, jeanette, nun, reuben and josh were our instructors. i was in isabel and joel lee's grp, being the grp advisor. lol. they two were the leaders. yep. let me just blog about the 5 main things of the camp.

1. PT; running, pumping, sit-ups...
when i arrived on thursday morning, i observed them having pt. then on friday morning, i got the taste of it for myself. we had to run around the site for a few lapse. before that, we were continuously told to fall in at several places. due to the time limit, we couldnt make it sometimes and so, we had to pump. but the running part was fun. left right, left right left. i like shouting that leh. haha.. then it was also fun when we sang as we jogged at an extremely slow pace. hehheh. then there was a mad dash too. we had to sprint from one end to another. that was tiring, but fun! haha.. normally after pt, there was a scolding session. it's when any group's lost their white flags the day before. (the flags are meant to be in our possession at ALL times. otherwise, they will be 'stolen' by the instructors, but not during games and service tho.) during this time, there's lots of punishments. had to keep staying in pumping position and pump or else we were kept asking to interchange between pumping position and sit-up position. yea..other than during pt, whenever we did something wrong, werent following instructions, didnt fall in in time, or forgot to take something, dropped something, we were punished in that manner. but thru these times, we learnt deeben's accent. lol. knock it down! understand anot!?

2.Mealtimes; food, cleaning up
our meals were had in the canteen. oh, fyi, if you didnt happen to know where we were, we were staying at the St Andrews Village. there was a building with dorms specially catered to hold camper. yep. well, the stall aunty and uncle were very friendly. the food they served us were okay lar. sometimes they were nice, but some were not very. hehheh. we had to clean our tables, chairs and the floor below us each time we were done with eating. if these were found to be still unclean, or not properly cleaned, we will be punished. my group kena-ed once. sighs.

3.Games; captains' ball, waterwar, puzzle-treasure hunt
the games were all very fun! haha.. i think it's the most enjoyable part of the camp. on thursday afternoon, we played captain's ball first. my group and nat's group combined while the other 2 combined. we lost. the other captains ball was where each pair has got to tie one leg together. so it was like we were all three-legged. yep. we still lost. sighs. it was soo close. anyway, after that, we had to compete to fill in the waterbombs. then the good ones are to be used in the water war. it was quite fun. we had to steal each other's flags and only defenders get to throw the water bombs at the attackers. it was very exciting. haha. then we all had to get wet lar by the hose. lol. on friday, we first played a jigsaw hunt. the pictures we drew on thursday was cut up into 20 pieces and scattered over the court. each group have to stand on 2 and a half pieces of drawing block to move to collect the pieces. then in the afternoon, we played treasure hunt. some clues were rather hard to decipher and find. haha.. then at deeben's station, (one of the clues was to find him. the long pole blah. haha..) we were to piece our picture back. the no. of missing pieces was the number of action songs we had to do. so we sang 5 songs. but besides that, we still had to do 5x10 push-ups lar. urgh. we were damn bad at that. lol. worse off than job's grp lar. haha.. the NATs won the water war and this game. see, her life is really about win-win. lol.

4. Service
the messages were preached by Grace Tan. she's a good preacher. although she abit too drama mama, but that's what makes her preaching so interesting. haha. anyway, God's presence had been really strong each time. i was most deeply impacted on friday morning. i really feel less burdened right now. and i think i've managed to put aside some things that had been worrying me. heh. =))

5.Dorms
our dorms were bedless. so we all had to bring sleeping bags. after everyday, our bodies were aching like mad and we still had to retire to bed on hard floor. wah.. it was really not comfortable at all. besides that, our side was close to the highway. so, the whole night, there will be cars and motorcars zooming past and high speeds and making a damn lot of noise. urgh.. i slept beside nat for both nites and had fun talking to her before falling asleep. heh.

today, our closing session had been good. there was no pumping! haha.. im glad and yet also sad that camp's ended. but well, our inward advancement dont end. in fact, it's just a beginning. yea. anyway, i met mr diong at the campsite! he was with the other church which was having a children's camp there. haha.. what a coindence. met him as he came out of the children's dorm this morn. lol..after soo long there. haha.. hey, he recognised me despite not having taught me before. prob as yeun's/mdm cheng's daughter's best friend. haha..

took train home and went to sleep from 11.20 to 3.15pm. i set my hp to wake me up at 1. luckily i woke up in time 'cause i was suppose to pass kangen my science files at 3.30pm. lol. quickly changed and packed my stuff. then my mum and dad drove me to the mrt station. after passing the stuff to her, the three of us went to jec's wintertime. bought heat packs!! =D they are cute. also bought 2 thermal tops. there were no toe socks, sad to say. and no thick-enough gloves. then we went to IMM, wanting to go to the Coldwear there. but it seemed to have moved! argh. then went to guardian to find the moisturizing lotion for me to bring to prague. then i had to go first to wait for terence to fetch me to my sis's office. from there, we picked her up and went to sim lim square for dinner. (i skipped lunch today. heh.)

after that, went to church for the countdown choir practice. weijie brought several more vj choir members. they are good man. suddenly, i feel soo inferior and im slightly hesitating to go there le. haha.. anyway, my sis's friend, Joyce, came today. she was from RVC leh. =) heh. 14 yrs my senior. SUPER senior. lol. and i learnt from her that ms ek taught econs at vj during their time! when i told my sis that, she was like, what? she's your principal now?! lol..if i've ever mentioned my principal's name to her last time, i would have discovered our connections sooner. haha.. it's so cool, we're all connected. haha..
