it feels like aeons since i last blogged, doesnt it? anyway, i shall have to split this entry into two entries for i am blogging on different matters. haha..
CHURCH CAMP-DOWNPOUR 2007
you wouldnt believe the great impact that was felt during this church camp unless you're really there. God's touch was so gentle and yet powerful in this camp and im immensely thankful that i was able to be forgiven and forgive again.
i sat in the car with terence and my sister for i dont know how long? it was 11plus when we reached Holiday Villa Subang Jaya. yep.
we spent the mornings having morning devotional. then the youths broke away from the adults and had our own
'No Apologies' workshop that was conducted by external speakers from
Focus On the Family-Malaysia. to put it simply, this workshop is exactly like sex education in singapore. by lunchtime of the first day, we were already moaning although we still have a whole afternoon and the same routine follows on tuesday. anyway, we managed to sit through the thing in the afternoon. yea. then we had the workshop on tuesday too. the afternoon one was cancelled, so everything was to be completed that morning. well, at the end, we signed another
pledge of abstinence. yep.
the evening
downpours were really awesome sessions. the first night was about surrendering the disappointments and pain to God and let Him heal your wounds. the 2nd night was to release your unforgiveness for other pple.
it was also that same day that i saw my mum cry during lunch coz my dad was really soo very weak. he throws up everything that he eats, he walks unsteadily. hence, he kept resting in his room instead. hence, both nights, i responded to the altar call and gave everything to God. the other downpour sessions were rather good too. having the right attitudes, being
imitators of God. yep.
it was my first time playing 2 keyboards at one go. and truely, worship on tuesday morn was like screwed up? uncle roger changed the sequence during worship itself and then, i didnt hear wad song he wanted to sing..in the end, he just came in with the next song which was originally a key higher. lol.. it was the same with the next song too..i had no time to change and he just came in. lol. then the last song, he wanted to raise key but he didnt have the chance to tell the others about it..so they were all kinda blur. lol..anyway, that morning's devotion was about inspiring others in worship. yea..so the ministry was like another worship time. my sister played instead. but overall worship was good. on my next scheduled duty, my sister came to play the primary keyboard lest i screw up again. haha.. it's better for me anyway.
on tuesday afternoon, during the extra free time we got, nat, lydia and i stayed in our room to do hw. i did
chem, nat consulted me on her
chi compo while the both of us taught lydia lee
emaths. yep. heh. that time afternoon, we also had a short sharing by grace. yep.
then the youths had a wrap up session on wednesday morn. we shared about what God has done in this camp. yep. haha. after lunch that day, we went to shop at
sunway pyramid while the guys and some other girls went to play paintball which costs alot. walked around with
lydia lee and a new girl, gethsamanie. didnt talk to her during the workshops so took that time to know her better. yea. i bought 2 pairs of earrings. damn cheap, 4 for 10Rm so i shared with geths. =) bought icecream and my
dunkin donuts. damn. i didnt take photos!! came back to find that my parents have gone back to singapore for my father to be admitted to the hosp. yea.
on the last morning, pastor came out to urge everyone to pray for him and i started crying. couldnt stop throughout the entire worship.. yea. then i switched to join terence and my sister for the passover meal. yep. i was originally grouped with my parents you see. yep. after that, there's lunch and then we went back to singapore. went to NUH to visit my dad straightaway..
thank God that he's got stomach ulcers and not something more serious. he's recovering now.. =)
