Back from taiwan!
Sunday, December 23, 2007 10:39 PM

im lagging alot in my blogging. similarly, i couldnt catch up in my journaling while i was overseas as well. haha.. wadever.

anyway, i took lots and lots of photos! cant post them all up here lar..shall post them on facebook so lucky ones who are on facebook get to see them. unless of course, i can like upload the whole slideshow to blogger or link it. but i still doubt non facebookers can see the photos if i upload the link. let's see first.

the trip was very very good. the visit to Taroko National Park in Hualien has caused me to marvel at God's creation and i've therefore decided to forget all about Econs and take Geog. so im taking this combi- bio/chem/maths/geog. hopefully i'll get it. heh.

taiwan is not just a shopping haven alone. this farmosa land has all the natural beauty as well. Taroko National Park is actually one of the top 5 natural wonders of the world. cool huh? the scenery there is truly breath-taking. it's my favourite spot out of everywhere else we went. =) Alishan was also very beautiful, with all the tall cypress trees and occasionally, some maple trees. one thing to note, it was very cold! on land, the temperature was usually about 20plus degrees. but on the mountain, it's 10degrees lower. that day we went up, the temp was 9degrees alrite! haha.. damn cold. brrrr...

well, we visited many nightmarkets too. the first was liuhe, where we ate alot! haha.. tried stuff like fishmaw vermicilli, smelly toufu, their dumplings, bbq chicken backside(serious, it's damn good, no bad smell at all and it's very soft!), fried squid, papaya milkshake(ah bian and many politicians also drank from that stall!) and etc.. haha.. at fengjia nightmarket was more of shopping. bought my denim jacket there and several necklaces! haha.. well, last nite was crazy shopping at shilin. but it's super crowded can. there's hardly space for you to stop to take a look. haha.. but anyway, i still managed to buy some long-sleeved tees and a skirt. my shoe was bonus as my boots had to spoil that nite. haha.. yep.

i love taiwan!! ahhh.. i took all their trains, the bullet train, the normal choochoo train and their mrt. =)) well, it was a very worthwhile trip. i wanna go again!! during summer so can get more clothes!! haha..
