the title of this blog post is the title of this year's youth camp. i just came back today from the 4 day 3 nights camp. and right now, im aching all over. haha..
well well, it was a very fantabulous camp. the main idea of the sermons was about discipleship and willing to be the salt and light for Christ. it's all rather applicable to us. all of us had managed to gain quite a lot from God through this camp.
besides the strong presence of God that managed to make us all feel so good bout the camp, the games we played were really fun too! on the second day afternoon, we had the telematch. my team consists of lydia tan, shermin, joel lee and jon. anyway, we didnt really do quite well for the telematch section but at least, we enjoyed ourselves. we had the lowest points then! but heyhey, thanks to joel lee i guess, we managed to 'fan bai wei sheng' and got a second overall! the prize was $10 HMV vouchers.
then on friday afternoon, we all headed to changi village to play the Amazing Race. my group was quite suay can. when we found where our first stop was and tried to find our clue, we realised the clue was missing. and really, some clues dropped from the signpost and got swept away by the current in the drain in front. we took so long to search for our clue and finally found it at the very end point where large mass of leaf litter and bacteria had already colonised the clue. urgh. but then, it was still very fun lar. haha.. we didnt win any prizes this time. got in 4th. but maybe if joel lee was there, we could have won something? he could have run faster to get the clue. haha.
after the service that nite, we played this 'underground church'. it's too complicated to explain everything here. basically, it's a test of our faith and to let us know that in reality, by saying YES to God may actually cost us our lives. the process of it was very interesting as everyone is trying to act and all that. then sheng is the poor guy can. nobody believes him. christians dont believe he was a christian too and thought he was a spy. meanwhile, the spies were also cynical about his claim to be a spy.
well, after the game ended, suddenly, i LSed. so i had diarrhoea and so did lydia lee. we werent the first to have it. JK and i think don had it. JK's was rather serious. as for lydia, i realised when i woke up in the morn that she left in the middle of the night. mine was still alrite. i think right now, it's okay already. i LSed about 7 times altogether lar! felt super weak in the body today since i had my whole body aching from the race the day before.
yep..so that's about it. oh, it's still a mystery as to why we all had diarrhoea. we just cant figure out what food was it that caused us to have diarhoea. sigh..
