It's finally come to the national day weekend!
AC celebrated it on wednesday, all for trying to be special huh. haha.. it's actually because the J2s' last schoolday was that wednesday. so they decided to make it a national thanksgiving service. yep. well, it was similar to our Founders' day service where the band played the processional and choir sang songs. we did Shirul'adonai and Pater Noster. most J2s came to perform along with us that morning. oh, us altos finally gave the J2s our completed 'reflections'. haha.. YEA REFLECTIONS RIGHT. haha.. they are actually megasize cards that were prettily made by sayhwee & zhengping. =D the cards contained our well-wishes for our dearest seniors.
that afternoon, we had our little exchange with the Southern Choir from UK. basically, it's a choir consisting of pple from the same district but studying in different schools. it's like a community choir if i can say that. at night, they had their concert at our CPA. we sang 2 songs, El Hambo and Soleram. the alumni also performed. then the Southern Choir did their items. they had a couple of soloists. haha.. a different kind of repertoire for a change. finally, we ended the concert with a combined performance with them, singing Gaelic Blessing. =) that's it.

Friday night, 080808, was Day of His Power. it's a service where all Love Singapore Churches gathered to pray for the nation. kinda an annual thing. yep. So after school, i headed straight down to Expo first. did some work in BK then ate my dinner there too. Lydia Lee and Nat came too. told the others to meet at 6.45pm and wow, they were all on time. so those who've reached before i went back to the mrt station to meet them, went ahead first. then met gerald and waited for deeben and jk. after that, we went over first. nat and lydia headed over to Max Pavilion by themselves as well.
well, quite hard to worship that nite although the music & everything else was like very good. anyway, halfway through, got called by Shalyn to go backstage to help out. haha.. had to put out chairs and the basins for the Reconciliation part of the night. Then what's most impromptu was the sudden need for us to hold the respective country's flags behind the representatives. HAHA. yea.. i thought previous years' event were somewhat better? hmmm..
