HAPPY CNY.
Happy Chinese New Year y'all!
Anyway, i think alot of us probably feel the same. This year's cny seems to feel kinda empty, lacking in atmosphere of some sorts. Probably it all started with not having a proper half-day on Friday since MOE claims it's not the eve of a festive and so we aren't obliged to a day of simply celebrations and day-off from lessons. I don't feel any sense of festiveness in all this, well yet.
well, since we had lessons till about 10.50 on Friday, obviously i didnt get to skip swim p.e. i'm in advanced so i get to learn Butterfly stroke. we started out with some drills using flippers but some of us belonged to the 'lower advanced' and had to be separated to work on using the flippers. okay, it wasn't as bad as i thought. i guess i won't hop over to intermediate then. heh. AC celebrations was not bad. The performances put up were really entertaining and great. haha. Mr Sum just had to end off the programme with singing cny songs. we were so not hyped up and there he was, trying to rub off some of his 'high-ness' onto us, all in vain though. haha. oh yea! he invited AC's CSS-YAP JIAMIN onstage! WHOO ~ haha..
that afternoon, went out with some choir friends for a movie at vivo! inez, say hwee, megan, yueyue, jenny(inez's classmate) went to vivo first and bought tix to Yes Man because there weren't any left for Changealing. sigh. i wanted to catch that. but well, since the tix is free so yea. haha.. we bought Macs for lunch and went up to the amphitheatre to enjoy them. i've got to mention this, vivo is practically a popular hangout for rvians for i saw them everywhere. i even recognised 2 juniors there! lol. chris and nat sim found us up there and joined us. faith only joined us for the movie at 4pm. yep. we saw the Aetos clan ogls watching the same show too!
well, saturday was another normal saturday where there was choir in the morn. yep. sunday, church!! after chi service duty, went back to church to find the rest of the youths for lunch. we ate at KK's renovated foodcourt. =) i was so ignorant to know that the foodcourt was opened for business again only yesterday! it's bigger and there's more stalls? however, some weren't opened coz it was the eve. after lunch, those of us involved in the song items for our RAYs cny party headed back to church to practise the songs. =DD i love the 4-chord song we're doing.
came home after the practice to help out in the kitchen. yea.. then my paternal relatives started arriving one by one. sigh.. every year it's such a pattern, it's predictable and so routine. hence, no excitement and all. one comfort was that my 2 cousins have grown quite adorable as the older boy is now more sensible. heh.
today was well, boring. i woke up with dry throat and runny nose. basically, i need to cut back on the cny goodies and bak kwa this year. lol. anyway, in the morning, my sis, terence and adele came over to 'bai nian'. my mum wanted to take a family photo with my bro's family but my bro won't arrive in time. but we just took one without them first. yep. then after all that photo taking, my sis and i started pasting the nail art stickers on our varnished nails. lol. she bought some new pretty ones so i happily koped from her. =))
i spent my afternoon sleeping coz my head was really spinning and i couldn't do my chem tutorial. sigh. im glad i still managed to do it after that. =) right now, im finding info for my essay outlines. urgh. alrite. hopefully, tmr will be more fun when i have some company when my maternal relatives come!
