inject music into life.

today has been a pretty musical experience. =)

anw, let's backtrack to the week for awhile first before i start on today's reflections.

the past week has been very very tiring and yet exciting. i helped out at the auditions on mon, tues and thurs till almost all the way for all three days. my oh my, thurs was really overwhelming with people. now what did they say bout having spillover effects from the past 3 days? it was really boring actually to be waiting and waiting for so long till the group goes for their audition finally. my group had to wait till about 5 plus(that means, they waited for 2 hours?!) for their turns. however, it was really nice to be able to get to know more J1s, even if they didnt get in. Still, i hope we'll be able to rmb each other next time! =)

cell was, half great, half not so great. worship was very free that nite and therefore, we kinda dragged it till really long and ended up having little time for the sharing of the sermon. anyway, my cell had only alyssa. which is why it made cell not so great. well, i know it's not easy for some to come for cell since they have to either depend on their parents to fetch them there and home or else, they have ccas which end like super late and make them all weary to come for cell.

apart from school stress that's already starting to take its toll on me, i'm also getting to lose steam in leading this cell. i'm so afraid i'll one day break down totally. today's sermon was great. i can hope and hope that i can cope(oh it rhymes.). i can also hope that my cell members can grow up and decide to really come despite feeling tired and such. however, what will make these hopes turn into FAITH. which is like what Hebrews 11:1 says, " Faith is to be sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." to have faith and not just hope, first of all, i need to really hear God's promise for me in both areas. hence, this shall be something i would be seeking God for this week's devotions.

just to mention abit on yesterday's choir! in the morning, we had our choir rehearsal as usual. but before mrs teoh took us on the vocalises, after the physical warm ups, Nathan asked all the guys 'out of the room'. well, we girls were just minding our own business and looked through our scores. suddenly, the guys came back into the room, but now with their two hands holding a rose each! and they presented roses to each girl! how sweet huh! this year's v-day tradition was sorta broken as normally, we would prepare and song and gift each for the opposite sex. yea. kinda embarrassed that we girls didnt prepare anything. finally, after the welcome tea for the J1s, we did an impromptu performance of the song 'L is for the love you give to me... O is for the only one i see..V is very very extraordinary..E is even more than anyone that you adore and Love...' yep. haha..

so today i got to hear about a few more youtube stars from Lydia Lee and Isabel - Rin On the Rox as well as Nick Pitera. They all rock, together with the group of talents who started the version of Tribute to 4-Chord songs on Youtube. =))

before attending High Places, i went alone to Esplanade library to study. i think i love that place! i understand now why Lydia used to like going there to study during her Os! haha.. at about 3, my sis joined me and we headed down for Mrs Tay's and Mrs Teoh's recital at the recital studio when the time came. oh, the sops and altos bought chocs for Faith as she was going to perform together with Mrs Tay and their other sisters! =DD well, the recital was fantastic!! Mrs Tay sang really well and so did Mrs Teoh with her superb piano playing skills! haha.. i love that piece she played man...

sidetracking a lil, my sister and terence knows Mrs Teoh's brother, Victor Toh, from NTU Crusade! haha.. soo cool.. if i get the chance, maybe i'll let mrs Teoh know, if i dare. haha..

anw, yes, we need to inject music into life. indeed.
