John 15:7-17 (New International

7If you remain in me and my words remain in
you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. 8This is to my Father's glory, that you bear
much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
9"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain
in my love. 10If you obey my commands, you will remain in my
love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.
11I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that
your joy may be complete. 12My command is this: Love
each other as I have loved you. 13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay
down his life for his friends. 14You are my friends if you do what I
command. 15I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his
master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I
learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit
that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my
name. 17This is my command: Love each other.
I was just reading the chapter to prepare for my mentoring session today with Ps SokHwee that I came across this scripture. Though the portion was leading on discerning God's will & my will, I found this scripture speaking to me alot.
Remaining in God, is it really that difficult? YES. I wouldn't lie & tell you a NO for an answer. To do that takes alot of hard work & sheer discipline because many times, the enemy comes along to distract us with our weakness, causing us to steer away from God's course for us. That's why we always need that dependence on God & never strive to do things ALONE. God encourages community & fellowship in the body of Christ. That's where we find our anchor, our support.
If we remain in Him, align our hearts' desires to His desires & what He takes delight in, we can be pretty sure He will grant them. After all, it is for His glory & that we may 'bear fruit'. As we choose obedience & submission to Him, we'll remain in His love & He'll give us joy & delight in what we do. We'll have that God-perspective & thus, a joyful outlook to life.
Another thing for me personally is His command for me to love. He's a friend to me & made known to me everything so clearly. It's my turn to go & make known of His love to others for He has chosen all of us individually.

Anyway, on tuesday night, as I was chatting with my dearest friend ever, Yeun See, we just randomly decided to have a sleepover so we could swim together at her condo in the morn. It's also coz she's moving out of the condo soon so better make full use of the facilities...haha.
Well, we had a splendid time catching up with each other one on one... havent had the chance to do so since don't know how long... haha..we only got to meet up during those birthday get-togethers. Yea so we basically stayed up till 3plusalmost4am before we slept & woke up for our swim at 8am! haha.. chatted while swimming our 20laps too. Then it was breakfast at macs before we parted ways as I went home & she met with a friend to go safra kbox. =) Enjoyed our sleepover date haha! jeul-gi-da!!(haha it's korean for enjoyable!)
