Transitions...
The last I blogged, I was still on my toes, wondering when the letters of offers from NUS and NTU would come. Today, I thank God that I got offers from both NTU biological science and NUS Faculty of Science! =D
The saturday I got my NTU letter was on Isabel's birthday. That morning, during worship prac in church, my mum texted me to tell me the good news since she went to open the mailbox that day! WHEE~ great, finally one offer!! I don't like waiting for such things... ahh..
Then, I was expecting the NUS FoS to get back to me as well since I jolly well knew I obviously am not selected for medicine so I just skipped that choice and moved on to my 2nd. heh. Man, it was a little worrying when I had friends telling me they've received the letter of acceptance from FoS already! BUT finally! Just last friday (not the recent one), as I asked jeann online if she's received FASS's offer since I heard news that the 2nd batch of letters were out... and I decided to check my online application status and behold! TADAA~ I have been offered a place in Science!! =DDD Goodness, I was literally jumping for joy! haha.. Since there wasn't anyone around to witness my madness. haha!
I don't know to say if it's real joy when I got the letter or simply a sense of relief to know I've got a place in NUS as well and that I'm not limited to 1 choice. I mean, I've a huge inclination to go to NUS and I used to think that if I get accepted AND USP accepts me too, then it's definitely NUS. However, despite how tempting the modules of USP are, it's just not a right thing to factor for my decision making. I'd be boxing God in and being 'superstitious' in the sense to rely on such 'signs'. It's really very difficult to die to the desires of my flesh and it's just so easy to cave in to them. I mean, maybe God's will is not for me to be in NUS but to go to NTU, which has a less established science school actually. Again, I won't let myself be influenced by this too much. (same reason why I went to ACJC when I could have gone to NJC/maybe HC)
Anyway, I'm really really grateful for the timely sermon series on I Want 2 Decide Right. The four questions posed are questions I'm asking myself everyday to discern God's will for me. To make sure my heart is aligned with His and not under any deception.
Am I being completely honest with myself?
What will be my final story?
Is there a tension in my decision?
Does my decision honour God?
It all ultimately boils down to that last question. Will it honour God? I've learnt much about honouring God in this month or so. Be it in decision making, in the things I do daily, or in worship leading, serving, honouring God should be the constant thought behind them.

On a side note, I surprised (hopefully) my mum with the Amici Tiramisu cake on Tuesday! Thank God the card I bought was not a scam! I was so worried when I first purchased this amici-granton card man since those salespeople were promoting it at the HDB area... Well, the cake's awesome! =) Shall have to go down to amici once to make use of the 1-for-1 privilege someday before October. heh.
